South Leeds Youth Hub

Welcome to the Hub

South Leeds Youth Hub is a safe space for young people in south Leeds to take part in affordable activities outside school hours. Since the Hub began we have encouraged young people to play an active part in our development and we ensure they continue to shape our future. It is our desire that the Youth Hub forms part of the fabric of the local area, involving all members of the community..

We offer opportunities to join a youth club, try something new, develop new skills, have fun, and make friends, all in multi –functional building and with a fantastic new 3G pitch and outdoor games area.

There is everything from a music studio, mechanics workshop, and a performance hall to flexible spaces for creative and performing arts, teaching and meeting rooms. All of which are accessed through our inviting welcome area. Most of these spaces are available for venue hire upon request.

We have outstanding facilities and resources at South Leeds Youth Hub, and outside school hours, some of these can be hired at very competitive rates for groups who are working with young people from south Leeds.

A message from your local Councillor...

As Chair of the South Leeds Youth Hub Steering Group I am delighted to welcome all young people, partners, supporters and friends to our revamped website.  It highlights the tremendous progress we’ve made over the years in providing activities with and for young people.

The Hub has established itself as a dynamic centre serving the young people of South Leeds, and is constantly developing. The original My Place funding from Government paid only for the building. That left us having to find resources and activities within an environment of increasing cuts.  We have risen to that challenge by with working young people and a range of partners and supporters to provide a safe place to go, stimulating activities and people for them  to talk to about their issues.

The activities on offer are expanding all the time. They currently include music production, live performance workshops, DJ lessons, design and print workshops (T-shirts/ mugs etc), Bushcraft, team building exercises, inflatables, arts and crafts, mobile climbing tower, archery, scooter session and go karts.  In addition there are excellent physical facilities, such as the 3G football pitch, netball court, multi-use games area and music rehearsal room.

If you’d like to find out more, please use the contact details listed. We look forward to seeing you!
